Battyeford Post Office - Case Study

Scenario

We were approached by the owners of Battyeford Post Office who had made the tough decision to sell their Post Office and convenience store after the pressures of raising a young family coupled with running the business became too much.

A central part of the Battyeford community, the Post Office had been run successfully by the young family for over five years. Providing a range of services from personal banking, mailing, and currency exchange, it was vital that a suitable buyer was found to allow operations to continue.

Solution

After providing a valuation and taking the business to market, we were delighted to secure 8 viewings as well as several offers from interested parties. Following a period of negotiation, a sale was agreed with the purchaser applying to the Post Office for the position of sub-postmaster. Once this was confirmed, completion of the sale was able to take place in the summer of 2023.
